Every day is a struggle between dark and light, wrong and right. I believe there is dark and light and good and bad in everyone. Some people just have better control of restraining their darkness because of their spirituality and level of awareness. For those who are in touch with their higher self and by having a higher level of consciousness helps a person to have better control of their decisions, actions and reactions. Moving to that higher level of awareness is powerful because on the contrary where the ego goes, trouble often follows.
On a day-to-day basis, for myself I can say it is a constant battle between my ego and my much wiser spiritual self. Some people believe we are spirits having a human experience and if this is the belief you have, it truly does affect how you look at things. You tend to see things from a different, more tolerant, and compassionate perspective. Becoming aware of these things helps you to see things in a different light. I am far from perfect but I strive every day to learn, keep an open mind and an open heart. This has helped me to make tremendous progress moving from a superficial life to one that is deep and meaningful.
When I look back on my life and see how much I have evolved personally, mentally and most importantly spiritually I can definitely see the growth that has taken place over the years and even more so in the recent months. Many of the incidents that led to me becoming who and what I am today were painful, tragic and even traumatic. When you are going through a challenging time in your life, it is difficult to see what lesson or growth opportunity you will gain from the experience. It is often only in hindsight that we realize the strength and wisdom that were behind the struggle and pain.
As a teenager I was pretty hostile, angry and occasionally even violent. I would get into fights or arguments. Many which were petty or insignificant simply because of my pride or ego. Now as a woman who has been through and overcome so much, I now understand how valuable energy and time are. Therefore, I choose wisely how and what I spend my time and energy on because once time is gone, you can’t get it back! I always, always keep in mind that what you put out there in the world is what you will receive! Being in touch with my spiritual/higher self gives me the ability to make better decisions overall. Some days are better than others and there are days where I do let other people’s negativity or the stress of the world get the best of me and bring out the worst in me. I am just grateful to know better and be aware so that I am able to use better judgement and have better self-control in most cases. I still have a long way to go but I have also come so very far!
I see many people get in over their heads because of their ego. Whether it comes to relationships, finances or a multitude of other scenarios, if you let your pride and ego lead you, trouble will surely follow..The journey to that “higher road” is not easy but in my opinion the path to enlightenment is an easier road to travel than the rocky, uncertain road of where your ego might lead you.
***Just a quick disclaimer – I am a single mom with young children, my mother is currently fighting stage 4 breast cancer and I work a very high demand full-time job. My life is beyond stressful and hectic just as so many others out there in the world. I am grateful for the strength to endure and know that I am still truly blessed! This website for now is just my way of spreading a little love, light and wisdom to those who might benefit from my energy. Great minds think alike and there are many people spreading the same types of messages in their different ways reaching different people. I sincerely love helping others and perhaps this will lead me to pursuing a different path in life. I do this in my free time and for free. 🙂 I am not selling anything but I do have great ideas and big dreams I am working on! I do want to make a positive difference on a larger scale by reaching more people in the world that resonate with me. I need to set up an even bigger audience than what I now have on my personal social network.
